Sofia, Bulgaria - {Living in Italy}

This was my first ever girls trip since having my babies! The last one I had was my Sophomore year of College! Going into this trip I only knew one of these ladies, but I am SO glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and went! We spent 4 days together and I can honestly say that I loved hanging out with the four of them! We had A LOT of laughs and adventures while we were in Sofia and I'll certainly never forget this trip. We flew in on a Friday evening, grabbed dinner and got settled! On Saturday morning we headed to the Free Sofia Walking tour. I had never done a free walking tour but apparently they are in a lot of major cities! It was SO worth it and we learned all about the city! That was about 2.5 hours long and then we headed to the cutest little cafe for lunch!

On Sunday we scheduled a day trip hike in the Rila Mountains. It was about 2 hours away from Sofia. Driving through the Bulgarian countryside was beautiful. There were a lot of farms and tons of rolling hills, and then the mountains! It is definitely a beautiful country. We had to take a chair lift that was about 25 minutes long up into the mountain where the hike would start. There are 7 Rila Lakes, but because the weather wasn't great and there was a ton of fog, we only got to hike to one. It was definitely an adventure! By the time we were done we were all pretty wet and we were ready to get to the spa that we had planned for the second half of the day! That night it was one of the girls birthday's, so we went out to a fancy restaurant and had some amazing food! Monday morning we flew home and I was ready to be back with my hubby and babies! When the ladies were planning this trip I ALMOST didn't buy the tickets. I was so nervous to do something like this but I am SO glad I did. We really had a blast and I don't regret it one bit!

And a sidetone: Elliott had a blast with the girls. He's just the best dad to our babies and I am so blessed to have a man like him!
