Angel Rock Hike - {Living in AK}

Updated: Oct 12, 2018

As I have previously posted, this blog is also about my family's personal adventures, not just photography sessions! It's a way for you to see who I am, a look into my personal life. Being a military family gives us many oppurtunities to explore new things! This summer my brother Luke came to visit us for the second time and we decided to hike Angel Rock! It was a lot easier than last years hike up Mt. Healy, but equally as fun especially with an extra member this time (our 5 month old daughter Leighlyn)!

Angel Rock is about 49 miles from Fairbanks on Chena Hot Springs Road. It is a 3.5 mile loop that reaches 1750 ft. elevation. It took us a total of about 2 hours and was a fairly easy hike.

This was Leighlyn's second big hike and she had a blast!

Leighlyn was hungry too after all of that climging :)

On the drive back, we stopped on the Chena River so that my brother could do some fishing!

All in all, it was an awesome day hiking, fishing and just enjoying God's beautiful creation!
